Time-resolved optical diagnostics of ns-pulsed underwater discharge
Original language description
Pulsed electrical discharges in liquids have been generated by ns pulses. These kind of discharges are generated most probably without the presence of initial bubbles. In the region between 320 and 750 nm, we observed broadband emission spectra profile occurring only during the first 20 ns. The origin of these emission spectra is not clear yet and its identification is still in progress. After the initial 20 ns, when this almost continuum spectra profile gradually disappeared, some peaks observed typically also for μs-pulsed water discharges with bubbles (e.g. Hα, OI) were detected.n
