POLOIDAL PROFILES OF THE PLASMA PARAMETERS IN L AND H MODES IN THE COMPASS TOKAMAKS DIVERTOR REGION (VEIT2017)

  • Original language description

Předneseno na: 20th International Summer School Vacuum, Electron and Ion Technologies (VEIT2017), Sozopol, 25-29.09.2017.nThe poloidal profiles of the plasma parameters, i.e., the floating and plasma potentials, ion saturation current density, electron temperatures and densities and the parallel power flux density, were obtained by the 39 Langmuir divertor probes of the COMPASS tokamak in L- and H-modes. The probes were swept to measure the current-voltage probe characteristics. The first-derivative probe technique was used to process the data. The experiment was conducted during the same discharge while the plasma column was moving down to the divertor, so that the threshold for transition from L- to ohmic H-mode was reached. The poloidal profiles of the plasma parameters were different in the two regimes. The parallel power flux density and the electron temperature were studied more precisely in the case of NBI-assisted H-mode, a dependence on the plasma current was found.
