Taxonomy of Extrasolar Systems for the Main Sequence Stars
Original language description
Abstract: In this paper we present the guidelines for an extrasolar system taxonomy. When working with an extra-solar planet database, it is very useful to have a taxonomy scale (classification). The taxonomy has to be easily interpreted and present the most relevant information about extrasolar systems. We propose the extrasolar system taxonomy scale with four parameters. The first parameter describes the actual (known) number of exoplanets in hot zone, habitable zone and cold zone of main star. We call this parameter a Zone index ZI. The second parameter is related to the Harvard classification system for the description of stellar spectral characteristics. The third parameter identifies a stellar component. The fourth parameter is a system number SN. This system number characterizes the distribution of exoplanets in extrasolar system according to their masses. According to this taxonomy scale, for example, extrasolar system 55 Cancri is 311GX12.2, Solar System is 224GX2.222.
