Focus on the Musa collection: Ploidy levels revealed

Original language description

The ploidy levels of all the accessions of bananas in the world?s largest collection was measu-red. The International Musa Germplasm Collection is held at the INIBAP Transit Centre (ITC), which is hosted by the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium.The ITC currently stores 1175 accessions. The ploidy level of the 1150 accessions had been analysed using flow cytometry in the Laboratory of Molecular Cytogenetics and Cytometry at the Institute of Ex-perimental Botany in Czech Republic.

Czech description

Byla měřena ploidie většiny položek největší světové sbírky banánů. Tato genová banka je udržována v INIBAP Transit Centre, který je součástí Katolické university v Leuvenu v Belgii. V současné době je v této sbírce 1175 položek. V Laboratoři molekulárnícytogene-tiky a cytometrie Ústavu experimentální botaniky byla u 1150 položek banánovníku zjišťová-na pomocí průtokové cytometrie jejich ploidie.
