The evaluation of carcinogenic risk is important from the point of view of the development of health status and socioeconomic conditions. The research focused especially on coal miners,workers in tunneling,the ceramic industry,workers in metallurgy and workers in stone processing.The authors focused of the following spheres of the research project: 1. The epidemiological evaluation of the incidence of malignant tumours in groups of coal miners exposed to dust with low and high concentrations of quartz.2.The verification of the carcinogenicity of dusts from coal mines and processing of stone by inhalation experiments on rats.3.The biomonitoring of carcinogenic risk with use of the selected biomarkers in group of exposed emloyees (coal workers in quarrying and stone processing).4. The histopatological investigation of autoptic materials of dead coal workers and workers in stone processing.

Czech description

Posouzení karcinogenního rizka exponovaných skupin zaměstnanců se stává problémem zdravotní péče i legislativním,a to především u horníků kamenouhelných dolů,horníků rudných dolů,tunelářů,dělníků v keramickém průmyslu,pracovníků kamenického a metalurgického průmyslu. Autoři se zaměřili na následující sféry výzkumného úkolu:1.Epidemiologická studie výskytu maligních nádorů u horníků černouhelných dolů exponovaných prachu s vysokou a nízkou koncentrací krystalických forem křemene. 2.Ověření karcinogenityprachů z těžby černého uhlí a zpracování kamene obsahem krystalických forem křemene v modelovém expozičním pokusu na zvířeti. 3.Využití biomarkerů expozice a účinku ve vztahu ke karcinogennímu riziku skupin pracovníků expon.krystal.formám křemene. 4
