    The article treats the language of selected magazines for (not only) Catholic children and young readers. First, it explains the term theolinguistics, its early days and development. Then, it analyzes authentic materials from three journals – Tarsicius, In! and Nezbeda. The authors survey mainly the lexical level, formulating the main findings and illustrating them with numerous examples.
