Original language description
Deep coal mining area is marked with comparatively high dynamics of anthropogenic landscape changes. Aerial photography stands for significant source of information for the study of anthropogenically conditioned development of the landscape. It represents data that cannot be obtained from different sources. Time series analysis of the aerial photography was used in connection with the study of the land-use changes in Lazy stoped area in the district of Karviná of Ostrava ? Karviná mining area. For th is purpose archival aerial photography of 1947, 1966, 1973, 1979, 1985, 1992 and 1996 was obtained from Military Topographic Institution in Dobruška. Analog photographs have been digitalized. Geometric transformation was followed by visual photointerpre tation.
