Landslide dams in the flysch Carpathians: contribution to understanding the Holocene landscape development
Original language description
Changes in sedimentation of the landslide damming-induced lake deposits are directly related to the climatic fluctuations. Lake sediments are suitable for 14C dating and for pollen analysis, which allows reconstruction of the local landscape developmentin the Holocene as well as quantification of the erosion and sedimentation dynamics. This paper presents the results of sediment analyses from 3 case studies in Czech and Slovak part of the flysch Carpathians.
