Extendable Domain Specific Modelling Generator Based on Web Services
Original language description
The paper discusses an extensible domain-specific modeling generator creation process. An extended generator is able to provide extension of domain specific language without recompiling. The main focus of this paper is to design an extendable generator and describe the way of implementation. Implementation is restricted to low voltage electrical circuits domain. We chose a services-oriented achitecture because of easy implementation and flexibility. The solution is built on the principles of Web services and XML, which allows to exchange information concentrating it in a single registry. All language elements are located in this registry and marked with a unique ID domain identification. If Web services and UDDI registry concepts are applied, all new domain elements are registered in one place only and they are available to all generators connected to the specific domain.
