All geomorphologists from the large Carpatho-Balkan-Dinaric region were invited to present results of the contemporary geomorphological research in this study area. The conference was held from 17th to 20th October 2011 in the congress centre of the Sepetna Hotel in the Ostravice village. 71 participants from 11 countries took part on the conference. The conference was an opportunity to present results of participants? research, discuss new methods in the geomorphologic research and, of course, meet colleagues and friends. The programme of the scientific conference was therefore open to all themes of modern geomorphology. Although the conference primarily specialized in geomorphologic research within the Carpatho-Balkan-Dinaric region, the participantswere welcome to present new methods in geomorphologic research conducted outside this region as well.
