Patterns of channel units and bedload transport in Beskydian headwater streams.
Original language description
Six distinct channel units were identified along a longitunidal profile of small Beskydian torrents: Pool-riffles, step-rapids, step-pools, cascades and bedrock-cascades. It was taken bankfull parameters, channel gradient, particle-size analysis, distribution of large woody debris etc. to compare individual units. Second part of our contribution deals with critical conditions of incipient motion of boulders during high-magnitude flows. There were several formulas tested and results compared with 5/2010flood observations.
