Original language description
Current tools for data migration between document-oriented and relational databases have several disadvantages. We propose a new approach for data migration between document-oriented and relational databases. During data migration the relational schema of the target (relational database) is automatically created from collection of XML documents. Proposed approach is verified on data migration between document-oriented database IBM Lotus/Notes Domino and relational database implemented in relational database management system (RDBMS) MySQL.
