Genesis, types and succession of crevice-type caves in the Flysch Belt of Western Carpathians
Original language description
Crevices are common manifestations of disintegration of anisotropic flysch rocks in the area of Outer Western Carpathians. There were 8 caves investigated between years 2010 and 2013. Research design of this study was constructed in order (i) to survey extent of crevice-type caves together with documentation of their morphological peculiarities, (ii) to determine types of mass movements responsible for their genesis and (iii) to define geophysical evidence of individual accessible crevices within relaxed rock massifs. According the results the predispositions, genesis, types of processes leading to the caves formation, succession phases and morphological types were revealed.
