Original language description
A total of 33 species and twovarieties of the broadly understood genus Orthotrichum Hedw. have so far been reported from China. Ten taxa of Orthotrichum have been recorded from Xinjiang Province in the north-west part of China and herein one more species is added to the moss flora of this province. The specimen cited above was collected by Mamtimin Sulayman in 2014 and it was identified by Q. H. Wang as Orthotrichum crenulatum Mitt. Subsequent re-examination of this specimen by the senior author during his visit to the Chinese National Herbarium in Beijing(PE)in 2015 revealed that it actually represented O. pamiricum, an epiphytic species which is a new addition to the moss flora of China.
