Original language description
This article aims to understand the basic knowledge about a smart building. The notion of the smart building can be called any building equipped with computer and communication technology, which can automatically respond to internal or external stimuli. The result of the smart building is an automated and foreseeing of activities that enable to reduce operating costs and increase comfort. The one way to use the smart building is for a low-energy building, a passive building, or for building with high savings. The output of this article is the formalization of basic knowledge of the smart building by the SBOnto ontology. © 2017 Pushpa Publishing House, Allahabad, India.
