Original language description
ccording to literature data and a revision of the herbarium material preserved in the main Chinese herbaria (FSHN, KUN, PE, SHNU, XJU, hb. Guizhou University), Lewinskya striata has been hitherto recorded from eleven provinces of China, including Heilongjiang, Hubei, Inner Mongolia, Jilin, Liaoning, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Sichuan, Xinjiang, Xizang, and Yunnan and herein the species is recorded for the first time from Gansu Province. The voucher specimen was collected growing epiphytically together with L. erosa (Lewinsky) F.Lara, Garilleti & Goffinet and Orthotrichum callistomum Bruch & Schimp.
