Depopulation of the Moravian-Silesian Region and the theory of the middle income trap

  • Original language description

Moravian-Silesian Region is intesively depopulated in the last two decadades. It should be hypotetically a consequence of middle income trap, phenomenon observed many times in developing countries, that quickly catch up developed countries, but stopped on some level. In case of Moravian-Silesian Region it seems to be different phenomenon, because this industrial region is approaching to average level of Czech regions from above, tot fom the bottom.
