Original language description
Bucklandiella subsecunda has maximum occurrence in subtropical and temperate areas in the Sino-Himalayan region, ranging from northern India to Hunan province in China, whereas in tropical Asia it is widely scattered at altimontane elevations from India to Taiwan, the Philippines and New Guinea in Melanesia. The species is exceedingly rare in the Indochinese Peninsula in mainland Southeast Asia.
