    Tn the years 2006-2008, a team of university lecturers from the Department of Pedagogy of the University of Ostrava carried out research in institutions for re-education. The investigation included all the institutions for re-education in the Czech Republic. This papaer concerns the overall design of the research and focuses on its first part, i.e. the managmenet and inter-personal relationships of the staff.
