Analysis of intensity of exercise load of junior ice hockey players during a championship match- case study
Original language description
The aim of the contribution was to show the load intensity of ice-hockey players expressed using heart frequency. The level of HR, which is considered to be a reliable quantity to assess the load intensity, was monitored using the Polar TEAM 2 system. The calculated mean HR value of the most active forwards in the match was 94.4+-6.1 % HRmax, while the mean value in defenders was 93.5+- 6.1% HRmax. The achieved results of the players load during a championship match could be used as the groundwork for subsequent preparation of training plans and for the selection of suitable methodological-organizational forms in training in the same age and performance category. To specify the load of players in an ice-hockey match in a greater detail, the research will need to be extended by monitoring heart rate in a larger group of players and by monitoring the load in more matches while observing the same conditions.
