The Mythopoetic Unfolding of Narrative Structures in Music
Original language description
The contribution tries to interpret the narrative as an anthropological constant that can be characterised in diverse ways. The primal narrative structures are identified in myth. Possible intersections of music and myth are seen in archetypal structuring elements such as repetition, opposition, collage etc.; the theoretical outputs of the structural anthropology by Claude Lévi-Strauss; the current theories of the musical narrative (Byron Almén, Márta Grabócz). The mythopoetic unfolding of narrative structures in music is one of the neo-mythologism phenomenon with the focus on the music of the 20th century.
