Original language description
This is a new contribution to the area which may be called numerical methods based on fuzzy approximation models. In this chapter, we show how it is possible to obtain an approximate value of a definite integral as well as an approximate solution to an ordinary differential equation on the basis of the certain class of fuzzy approximation models. We then apply this technique to the solution of a differential equation modeling reef growth. Furthermore, we use it to model ancient sea level.
