Original language description
The theory of the F-transform has been discussed from the perspective of the latest developments and applications. The importance of a proper choice of fuzzy partition has been stressed. The definition of the F-transform has been adapted to the generalized fuzzy partition, and the main properties of the F-transform have been reestablished. The applications to image processing, namely image compression, fusion and edge detection, have been discussed with sufficient technical details.
