On Conflicts of Linguistic Fuzzy Rules
Original language description
In this paper, we study the conflict (or inconsistency) of linguistic fuzzy IF-THEN rules that use evaluative linguistic expressions. Firstly, we approach the so-called 1-coherence of the interpretation of perception-based logical deduction inference method, which is the method tailored to the linguistic fuzzy rules. This restrictive coherence of the used model enables the definition of conflicting rules, and consequently, it can be determined directly based on the existence of conflicting rules. Secondly, we focus on investigating the criteria to detect the conflicting rules in a given linguistic description. Based on the criteria, an algorithm for the automatic deduction of the pairs of rules which are in conflict is established. Finally, the paper demonstrates the efficient use of the proposed algorithm on an illustrative example.
