Utilization of matematical modelling for determination of optimum parametrs of stabilization of tunnel face and its forefield
Original language description
Tunnel stability, which depends on many objective and subjective factors, are ofen solwed only on the assumption of plane stress-deformational state. This simplified assumption can be considered as objective only in the case, when the stability is beingresolved behind the tunnel face. After excavation, generally the primary state of plane-deformation on tunnel face and ahead of it changes into complex spatial (3D) stress-deformational characteristics as the face and the area ahead of it get deformed inthe transverse plane as well as in longitudinal axis of the tunnel. Without the adoption of appropriate stabilisation measures at the face, this qualitative change of state of stress and deformation Can lead to loss of face stability, particularly in les s strong rocks and eventually may lead to the los s of stability of the whole section of the tunnel. In case of tunnels at low depth, such emergency situation underground is further complicated by possible negative effect on the ground.
