This paper deals with current knowledge about surface vibrations generated by mining induced seismicity in the Karviná part of Upper Silesian Coal Basin. Experimental measurement using solitaire surface seismic stations illustrate current seismic loadingof surface structures. Results of seismological monitoring in surface buildings in Karvina region have indicated that component oscilation velocity exceed in most intensive mining induced seismic events the 9 mm.s-1 value.
