    Consideration of time-effect on the modeling of chloride diffusion in concrete

  • Original language description

    This paper deals with the application of time-dependent diffusion coefficient for the ingress of chlorides into reinforced concrete bridge deck. A finite element-based diffusion model is used in order to model the chloride ion ingress into concrete and to evaluate the influence of diffusion coefficient change over time. Description of the diffusion of High Performance Concrete (HPC) is based on the laboratory study while the concrete cover is based on the in-situ measurements.
