    Calculation of bearing capacity and settlement of pile foundation is usually based on the premise that all loads from the top of the building are transmitted by only piles. The influence of the adjacent connecting structures that are in contact with theground (pile cap, slab, block, belt, etc..) is usually neglected. Contribution for the slab connected with head piles was tested on equipment STAND, within the Civil Engineering Faculty, Technical University in Ostrava. The course of the experiment and the results of load tests are presented in this paper.
