Original language description
This paper describes a comparison of the results from the experiment realised in the thermal technical chamber of VŠB-TU Ostrava and numerical modelling using the finite element method in the ANSYS software. In the article the effect of a non-uniform temperature distribution along the height of the cross section in time of fire is assessed using physical and geometrical nonlinear methods of solution. There are evaluated some experimental testing to analyse behaviour of statically indeterminate steel frame structures under fire loading including solution of thermal analysis. The results of experimental testing are analysed and compared with numerical modelling where the combined analysis is used.
