Probabilistic Reliability Analysis of High-Performance Reinforced Concrete Beam using Matlab software
Original language description
Significant improvement of computer technology in recent decades brought possibility to exploit fully probabilistic methods for reliability evaluation of structural systems and their members. One of these methods is SBRA (Simulation-Based Reliability Method) using direct Monte Carlo simulation technique. Application of this method allows utilize more precise calculation models, consistent description of random variables using truncated histograms and as well direct quantification of reliability. The following paragraphs of this paper describes application of this method in design and reliability assessment of high-performance reinforced concrete beam.
