The color stability of wooden facade is influenced by various factors as climatic conditions, type of the impregnation paint and the way of its coating and also physical and chemical factors. Wood degradation is caused mainly because of ultraviolet radiation which causing photochemical degradation of polymers. Subject of presented study is comparison of the color changes in time on commercial materials for facade systems. For experimental part species of Pinus sylvestris and Fagus sylvatica was chosen.Samples were cut according to standardized size and coated by acrylate based paint in two different ways. For artificially accelerated ageing Xenotest Q-SUN Xe-1-S was used. Samples were placed there for two weeks cycles (168 h) what corresponding to oneyear in real time while they were exposed to UV radiation.
