Possibilities of improving the thermal insulation properties of windows

  • Original language description

Windows are one of the building elements, which significantly affect the energy use for heating of buildings. For this reason, increasingly stringent technical equirements are placed on windows. The aim of this paper is to evaluate and compare the possibilities of improving their thermal insulation properties. Windows are compared in terms the window frame and also in terms of the type of glazing. For comparison purposes there were created many computational models. Thanks to these models there were determined thermal insulation properties of windows.
