3D numerical analysis of primary tunnel lining
Original language description
A considerable number of the contemporary underground long works is built after the principles of New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). The tunnel lining is built as a double-layer structure (primary and secondary tunnel lining). The primary tunnel lining provides a transient ground support before the construction of a secondary lining is finished and takes up the permanent support of ground. In addition a response of the primary lining controls the oncoming ground load on the secondary lining. The article presents results of 3D analysis of stress-strain state in a primary tunnel lining in the course of lining construction steps and after its completion. The analysis takes into account all the significant elements of NATM such as controlled support therock mass shortly after work excavation, heterogeneous cross section of primary tunnel lining - shotcrete, steel elements, their spatial distribution in the cross section of the lining and shotcrete variable deformation parameters in tim
