The article aims to briefly and clearly summarize the most important risks and problems associated with the distribution of drinking water, focusing on different segments of the distribution network and points to the need for prevention and risk awareness, with such risk factors may be encountered. Drinking enough water in the water supply network are obviousness for residents, and any failure or interruption of supply for them is unthinkable. Most accidents can be prevented by suitable design, implementation and maintenance. However, in the rare event of major natural disasters which may be accompanied by leakage of hazardous substances for humans to groundwater or surface water, can also be a serious health damage to individuals.
