Maturity of the company is known by the attitude towards death. The paper has the ambition to develop the topic of funeral architecture, despite the general taboo of death in contemporary secularized Czech society. It builds on previously published articles that deal with cremation architecture in the Czech Republic, referring to the situation abroad in the context of the history of European civilization. Currently, the theme refers to the relationship of burials and cremations in Ostrava. The aim is also to bring ideas to the topic of further possible development, regardless of the region, which is directed to the improvement of the operation, purpose and ideas crematoria in the Czech Republic in general, and thus define the traditional concept of a secularized society.
