    The Effect of Window Parameters and Shading Devices on Indoor Climate and Comfort of Buildings

    In this paper, the effect of the window parameters and shading systems, both on visual and thermal comfort in offices, was analysed. The identical office rooms with different glazing characteristics and shading systems were compared. The changes of the light and thermal transmittance of the glasses were achieved by using solar control and thermo-insulating window films. The evaluation of the daylight and thermal comfort of the indoor environment was verified using two quantities - indoor air temperature and daylight factor. The results of the experimental measuring and theoretical simulation analysis were compared and demonstrated the need to search for a compromise to ensure the optimal quality of the indoor environment.
