Comparison of selected methods for measurement of the concrete electrical resistance to chloride penetration
Original language description
The paper compares selected experimental measurement techniques for evaluation of concrete ability to resist chloride penetration. There are three procedures of evaluation of concrete diffusion coefficient compared. The paper is aimed at the comparison of diffusion coefficient based on the chloride profiling and electrical properties of concrete, namely electrical conductivity and resistivity. There are discussed methods of rapid chloride penetration test as well as surface measurement of electrical resistivity using Wenner probe. The comparison aim is to obtain input data for a finite element numerical model for probabilistic calculation of durability of reinforced concrete bridge deck exposed to the chloride laden environment. © 2006-2017 Asian Research Publishing Network (ARPN).
