Dynamic impact of the rail traffic on geotechnical constructions
Original language description
The volume of transported goods is still rising. Road transport is congested the most. However, still bigger and bigger pressure on more ecological ways of transport is registered due to unfavorable effects of road transport. The railway is one of the most ecological ways of transport of heavy loads. Nowadays, electric engine is the most used way of locomotives traction thanks to electrification of most of railways. This fact significantly contributes to elimination of ecological influence on environment. Thus, the railway is one of ways how to keep the established trend of transport of huge amount of materials with reduction of ecological influences to environment. This is also supported by EU offices, mainly by new construction and modernization of railway corridors. Current geotechnical objects are modified by the corridors modernization, so it is necessary to find the influence of passing rail transport on particular constructions. In the contribution, a case study on this phenomenon is introduced as well as experimental seismological measuring in nearby zone of railroad lines focused on influence of rail transport on geotechnical constructions on modernized corridor. The seismic measurement was performed in amplitude and frequency area and the results were drawn as attenuation curves.
