The article compares the total energy balance of the windows that differ from each other by design solutions (frameless system, wooden and aluminium frame, facade system), the type of glazing chosen (double-glazed, triple-glazed, quadruple-glazed window) and area size (3 variants). The calculation of the total energy balance of compared types of window systems using three different calculation methods according to valid standards is evaluated in the paper.
