Modeling of the impact of a pedestrian crossing on resulting capacity of a roundabout
Original language description
This article deals with problematics of the impact of pedestrian crossing on re-sulting capacity of roundabout. There is described the issue of capacity calculation according to valid Czech technical conditions. The influence of pedestrian crossing is only considered when calculating the capacity of the exit. Moreover, only cases which are taken into account are the ones with certain minimum number of pedestrians’ passes over the pedestrian crossing. Results obtained by calculations according to these technical conditions can be properly compared with results of realized simulations. The article compares the outputs that have been identified through traffic microsimulation model created in the PTV VISSIM software.
