Parallelization in DOProC method and its using in probabilistic modelling of fatigue problems

  • Original language description

Probabilistic methods allow to take into account the randomness and uncertainty in the design and reliability assessment of building structures. In the past, a number of probabilistic methods have been developed, which were used in solution of many engineering tasks. The problem is often the inaccuracy of the resulting probability of failure and also the high machine time of the calculation. The solution can be the parallelization, which can allow to obtain the result in a fragment of the original processing time while preserving the accuracy of the solution. The article focuses on the parallelization by the newly developed Direct Optimized Probabilistic Calculation -- "DOProC" method, which was used to solve a number of engineering tasks, eg in the field of fatigue-stressed structures.
