Original language description
The article deals with the laboratory testing of the connection of thin-walled purlins and support structures. The purlins are made of two Z-profiles. The results presented are part of the research of large-scale halls. For this type of construction applications of the thin-walled purlins of higher heights is recommended. Hence, the article focuses on the Z-profile of 350 mm height. The behaviour of the higher thin-walled purlins is significantly influenced by different types of joints, geometric properties and a small number of the laboratory tests. The main aim of the article is a demonstration of the parametric studies of the specific series of experiments. The experiment results are presented in the context of the current design code. Measured values are compared with the interaction (M/R) diagrams. (C) 2019 Author(s).
