Analysis of Indoor Air Quality in a Preschool Education Facility in the Summer and Winter Period
Original language description
Currently, there are strict requirements to meet the energy efficiency of buildings. Theeffort is to achieve self-sufficiency, or almost zero energy consumption. However, therequirements for the quality of the indoor environment should not be neglected whenimplementing measures to reduce the energy demand of buildings and during theconstruction of new buildings. And, above all, from the point of view of thermal comfort, but also from the point of view of hygienic limits regarding air quality in the evaluatedarea. The thermal comfort of the indoor environment is one of the basic factors thatinfluence the quality of the indoor environment and has a significant share in thesatisfaction of the users with the indoor environment. An important factor that influencesthe quality of the internal environment of the building is also the concentration of CO2, thevalue of which affects the biological functions of the human organism and thus has aneffect on his health. The subject of this work is the evaluation of indoor air quality in thebuilding of the kindergarten, which fulfills the function of preschool education for children. It is in objects for the education of children and youth that the emphasis should be placedon compliance with CO2 limits, of course, together with other monitored variables such asinternal air temperature and relative air humidity. An experimental measurement of indoorenvironmental quality was carried out in one of the kindergarten classrooms with anevaluation of the factors that affect the exceeding of the limit values of the monitoredvariables. The children's organism, like the organism of a sick person, is more sensitive toenvironmental influences, which is why the work is oriented in this direction.
