RADON ON THE PHASE INTERFACE WATER-AIR AND THE SEPARATION OF RADON FROM DRINKING WATER WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF SEMIPERMEABLE MEMBRANES UTILIZATION

  • Original language description

The contribution analysis process on the water-air interface. A dynamic equilibrium on the phase interface water-air is established that means the interchange of radon is in both directions until the finite ratio of concentrations is established. The finite ratio is given by Henry constant. This equilibrium is important for the radon separation from water. Among the important factors there are radon diffusion coefficients in water and air, whose relatively small amount forces us to use convection in both mediums as well. Many techniques must face the problem of free surface size and therefore many ways to solve this problem were searched. One of the acceptable possibilities seems to be the selective membranes, in heterogeneous as well as homogenous structure. The costs for radon removal from small drinking water sources, respectively for buying the appropriate equipment must be optimized regarding the health risk resulting from exposure to radon. In order to decrease the radiation that
