Original language description
Lead belongs to the oldest industrial poisons and lead poisoning is justifiably considered to be one of the most important professional poisonings. Although occurrences of severe lead poisoning, which were frequent formerly, are not very common presently, cases of severe health damage caused by lead are found in the industry even nowadays. This contribution deals with a problem of the professional lead poisoning prevention in a particular workplace. Certain measures, which have been leading to the reduction of the workers? lead exposure and which improve the workers? working conditions, are presented in this contribution. Close attention is paid to some major problems in the prevention area, which are closely connected with the human factor, risk communication and risk perception, and measures communication and perception.
