Article contains analysis of learning opportunities in the fields of Security on the state and private universities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. Security of citizens is increasingly discussed topic on technical and scientific forums. Need to address the security of citizens linked to the current security situation in Europe. Employees of the village - the authorities have the possibility to affect the security of the municipality. Municipalities are autonomous, have their own budget and hence opportunities to increase security. Municipal employees have a direct impact on security, because they know the local security environment. What options are municipal employees who want security education? Article includes a description, analysis and comparison of trade unions, as well as the teaching method and technology used in teaching the disciplines focused on security in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
