Evaluation the resilience of critical infrastructure subsystems
Original language description
This paper focuses on the basic determinants and possible approaches to the evaluation the resilience of crit-ical infrastructure subsystems. The initial part introduces the basis for evaluation the resilience in a critical infrastructure system. Subsequently, the basic areas constituting resilience of these subsystems are defined (i.e. preparedness, absorption, responsiveness, recoverability and adaptability) and specified as to their cor-relation and time relation. Further, the respective variables determining these areas are defined together with the external and internal factors negatively affecting the resilience of the critical infrastructure system. Final-ly, the selected approaches to evaluation the resilience of critical infrastructure subsystems are presented, which shall be the basis for future formulation of an objective system of quantification of the resilience of critical infrastructure subsystems.
