This article deals with influence of the inner dynamics of driving mechanisms (gears, driving screws, shafts) on generalized forces in robot joints and discusses methods of its evaluation. Further a methodics of gear ratio optimization is derived, considering magnitude of the generalized forces and utilization of drives speed control range.
