Original language description
The circumferential surface of the rolling railway wheel is exposed to the contact stress. The birth and development of the surface cracks is the reason of the shortening of the wheel lifetime. Another idea about the reason of creation of such microscopic cracks is as follows : The vertical roughness of the rail tracks excites the bending vibrations of the wheel-set. The small transversal sliding, accompanying such kind of vibration, can cause due to friction the local warming of the wheel and subsequently the birth and development of the surface cracks. To investigate the possibility of such process two analysis were passed. In the first stage the structural solution of the excited vibrations was solved and the transversal sliding in the contact between the wheel and the track was determined. This sliding with friction is the resource of the heat. In the second stage then the warming of the wheel was investigated. This paper is focused to the first stage - the excited vibrations with
