An Investigation into a noise reduction for railway wheelset

Original language description

Railway vehicle motion generates noise. The vibration of the wheels at motion makes this happen. The objective of this investigation has been the computer modelling of the noise propagation and establishing the effect for a three-layer sandwich damper. Both problem domains have been modelled by FEM programme, ANSYS 5.7, and BEM programme of Biskup. The research programme, MSM 272 300019, has sponsored the investigation.
